MULTIFUNCTION Switch

Disconnect multifunction switch harness connectors. Measure resistance between appropriate multifunction switch terminal with switch in specified position. See MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH RESISTANCE  table. See Fig 1. If resistance is not as specified, replace multifunction switch. See MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.

Wiper Switch
Intermittent 6 & 10 (1)
Low 6 & 9 (1)
High 6 & 8 (1)
Front Washer Switch
On 2 & 3 (1)
Off 2 & 6 (1)
Rear Washer Switch On 3 & 4; 5 & 6 (1)
Rear Wiper Switch
Off 3 & 5 (1)
On 4 & 6; 5 & 6 (1)
Variable Intermittent Wiper Switch Position
1 1 & 10 1000
2 1 & 10 10,000

(1) Resistance should be 5 ohms or less.
