Symptom Chart

SYMPTOM

  • Loss of engine coolant
  • Radiator.
  • Water pump seal.
  • Radiator hoses.
  • Heater hoses.
  • Heater core.
  • Engine gaskets.
  • Degas bottle.
  • The engine overheats
  • Water thermostat.
  • Water pump.
  • Internal engine coolant leak.
  • Radiator.
  • Heater core.
  • Cooling fan.
  • Pressure relief cap.
  • The engine does not reach normal operating temperature
  • Water thermostat.
  • The block heater does not operate correctly
  • Block heater power cable.
  • CHECK all three power cable circuits for continuity. If any circuit measures greater than 5 ohms, INSTALL a new power cable.
  • Block heater.
  • INSTALL a new block heater.
