Intake Manifold: Removal

Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
Disconnect the vacuum hoses at the (1) fuel pressure regulator and the (2) intake manifold.

Can be purchased as a separate item.
Disconnect the vacuum lines from the (1) exhaust recirculation valve, the (2) positive crankcase ventilation valve, and the (3) idle air control valve.

Disconnect the (1) speed control cable (if equipped), the (2) accelerator cable (9A758), and the throttle control lever (9A776).

Remove the bolt.

Disconnect the (A) idle air control (IAC) valve and the (B) throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connectors.

Remove the oil level indicator tube bracket bolt from the intake manifold.

Disconnect the EGR manifold tube located just below the EGR valve.

Raise and support the vehicle.
Remove the oil level indicator tube (6754) from the cylinder block (6010).

Remove the nuts.

Lower the vehicle.
Remove the nuts and remove the intake manifold (9424). Discard the gasket.
