Test A: All Power Windows Inoperative

  1. Remove Central Junction Box (CJB) fuse No. 43 (20-amp). See Fig 1. CJB is located below left side of instrument panel. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between ground and CJB connector fuse No. 43 input terminal (Black/Light Green wire). If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair Black/Light Green wire between CJB and ignition switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Retest system operation.

  2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove master window/door lock control switch. See WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect master window/door lock control switch Black 15-pin harness connector C508. Measure resistance between ground and, in turn, master window/door lock control switch Black 15-pin harness connector C508 terminals No. 7, 9, 12 and 14 (Black wires). See Fig 2. If all resistance measurements are less than 5 ohms, repair open in Red/Light Blue wire between CJB fuse No. 43 and master window/door lock control switch Black 15-pin harness connector C508 terminal No. 10. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Retest system operation. If any resistance measurement is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Black wire(s) between ground and appropriate master window/door lock control switch Black 15-pin harness connector C508 terminal. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Retest system operation.
