Power Sliding Door Adjustment: Notes
CAUTION:
Never use wedge or strikers to adjust or fit sliding door. Using a wedge to force door to move will cause wedges to squeak and eventually break. It will also cause power sliding door to reverse prior to full closure or not close completely. Using striker to force power sliding door to move will cause a rattle, or affect power sliding door opening or power sliding door closing efforts. If upper and lower wedges are not loosened during power sliding door adjustment, they will pull power sliding door into same position power sliding door was in before beginning adjustment.
NOTE:
For correct power sliding door operation, it is critical that door adjuster wedge and striker on "B" pillar fit smoothly into wedge pocket and latch in power sliding door. If any adjustments are made to power sliding door, realignment of wedge may be necessary.
