Trouble Shooting

Verify customer concern by operating power seat. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage. Before performing individual component test, check the following for possible cause of system malfunction:

• Blown system-related fuse(s).
• Damaged motor(s).
• Damaged wiring.
• Faulty switches.
• Loose or corroded connectors.
• Obstructed or damaged seat track.

If an obvious problem for an observed or reported concern is found, correct problem as necessary. If all components check okay, repair system by symptom. To determine correct test, see SYMPTOM INDEX  table under SYSTEM TESTS.
