Description & Operation

Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system components consist of central security module, remote transmitter and related wiring. RKE system allows locking and unlocking of all doors with a remote transmitter. RKE features only operate with vehicle ignition switch in LOCK position.

Pressing the unlock button on remote transmitter once, unlocks driver's door. Pressing unlock button on remote transmitter a second time within 5 seconds unlocks all doors. To lock all doors, press lock button on remote transmitter. To confirm all doors are closed and locked, press lock button on remote transmitter a second time within 5 seconds. All doors will lock again, horn will sound, and parking lights will flash. If any door is ajar, horn will sound quickly 2 times.

Panic alarm feature is activated by pressing the Red panic alarm button on remote transmitter. When panic alarm is activated, horn will sound and parking lights will flash for a maximum of 2 minutes and 45 seconds. To deactivate panic alarm feature, press Red panic button again on remote transmitter, or turn ignition switch to ACC or ON position.
