H Test: Flash Code 3/DEACTIVATOR Switch Circuit Failure
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect 10-pin speed control servo harness connector. Speed control servo is located at right rear of engine compartment. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Measure voltage between speed control servo harness connector terminals No. 9 (Black/Yellow wire) and No. 10 (Pink/Orange wire). See Figure . If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace speed control servo. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION .
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect 2-pin deactivator switch harness connector. Deactivator switch is located on top front of master cylinder. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Measure voltage between ground and deactivator switch Brown wire terminal. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in Brown wire between deactivator switch and Central Junction Box (CJB).
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Measure resistance in Black/Yellow wire between speed control servo harness connector terminal No. 9 and deactivator switch harness connector terminal. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace deactivator switch. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION . If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Black/Yellow wire between deactivator switch and speed control servo.
