Accessing Parameter Identification (PID)

Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Connect New Generation Star (NGS) tester to Data Link Connector (DLC), located below steering column. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Follow manufacturer's instructions and enter PID/DATA MONITOR AND RECORD for desired module. Operate appropriate system and ensure Parameter Identification Definitions (PID) expected values are obtained. See appropriate table under PARAMETER IDENTIFICATION DEFINITIONS  .
