Disabling Unlimited Key Mode Programming

  1. Connect New Generation Star (NGS) tester to Data Link Connector (DLC) located below steering column. Using NGS tester with service card, enter SERVICE BAY FUNCTIONS. Select PCM from menu. Enter SECURITY ACCESS. This procedure will take 10 minutes to perform. When security access is granted, select DISABLE UNLIMITED KEY MODE. Select IGNITION KEY CODE ERASE.
  2. Disconnect NGS tester from DLC and turn ignition switch to OFF position. Program 2 encoded keys into system to enable vehicle. See KEY PROGRAMMING - USING NEW GENERATION STAR TESTER  . Program any additional keys.
