Removal & Installation

WARNING: Vehicles are equipped with air bag supplemental restraint system. Before attempting ANY repairs involving steering column, instrument panel or related components, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS and DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article in RESTRAINTS.
NOTE: When replacing DSM, module must be reconfigured. See MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article for procedures.

Remove driver seat. See appropriate POWER SEATS article for removal procedure. Remove 2 screws and remove DSM. To install, reverse removal procedure.
