Test C: Single Mirror Inoperative With Switch Logic

  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect suspect power mirror 6-pin harness connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage or resistance between ground and suspect power mirror harness connector specified terminals, while operating mirror control switch to specified positions. See POWER MIRROR CIRCUIT TEST  table. See Figure . If any voltage or resistance is not as specified, go to next step. If all voltages or resistances are as specified, replace suspect power mirror.

  2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect mirror control switch 8-pin harness connector. Measure resistance between ground and suspect power mirror harness connector at specified terminals. See POWER MIRROR RESISTANCE TEST  table. See Figure . If all resistances are 10 k/ohms or more, replace mirror control switch. If any resistance is less than 10 k/ohms, repair short to ground in appropriate wire(s).
