System Tests: Notes
WARNING:
Deactivate air bag system before working around instrument panel or steering column. See
DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Air bag(s) may deploy.
CAUTION:
When battery is disconnected or modules are replaced, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See
COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
NOTE:
A Digital Volt-Ohmmeter (DVOM) is required to test the rear window defogger system. After each service or repair procedure has been completed, reconnect all components. See WIRING DIAGRAMS
for circuit identification and repair. Recheck system operation.
