Test A: All Power Windows Inoperative

  1. Remove Central Junction Box (CJB) fuse No. 43 (20-amp). See Fig 1 . CJB is located below left side of instrument panel. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between ground and CJB connector fuse No. 43 input terminal (Black/Light Green wire). If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair Black/Light Green wire between CJB and ignition switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Retest system operation.

  2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove master window/door lock control switch. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  . Disconnect master window/door lock control switch Black 15-pin harness connector C500. Measure resistance between ground and, in turn, master window/door lock control switch Black 15-pin harness connector C500 terminals No. 7, 9, 12 and 14 (Black wires). See Fig 2 . If all resistance measurements are less than 5 ohms, repair open in Red/Light Blue wire between CJB fuse No. 43 and master window/door lock control switch Black 15-pin harness connector C500 terminal No. 10. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Retest system operation. If any resistance measurement is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Black wire(s) between ground and appropriate master window/door lock control switch Black 15-pin harness connector C500 terminal. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Retest system operation.
