Overhead Console: Removal

    All Vehicles 

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Using a suitable screwdriver, detach the interior lamp from the overhead console.

  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the interior lamp.

    4. Vehicles With Manual Roof Opening Panel 

  4. Remove the roof opening panel regulator handle.

  5. Remove the overhead console.

    6. Vehicles With Power Roof Opening Panel 

    CAUTION: To avoid damage, the overhead console trim panel must only be pulled downwards enough to detach the retaining clips.

  6. Detach the overhead console trim panel from the overhead console.
    1. Using a suitable screwdriver, detach the front retaining clips.
    2. Pull the overhead console trim panel downwards to detach the side retaining clips.
    3. Push the overhead console trim panel forwards to detach the rear retaining clips.
  7. Remove the overhead console trim panel.
    • Disconnect the power roof opening panel control switch electrical connector.

  8. Detach the overhead console from the roof panel.
    • Remove the retaining screws.

  9. Remove the overhead console.
    1. Detach the front retaining clips.
    2. Detach the side retaining clips.
    3. Push the overhead console forwards to detach the rear retaining clips.
