Oil Pan: Removal

CAUTION: During engine repair procedures, cleanliness is extremely important. Any foreign material, including any material created while cleaning gasket surfaces, that enters the oil passages, coolant passages or the oil pan can cause engine failure.
  1. Remove the dual converter Y-pipe. For additional information, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the starter motor. For additional information, refer to STARTER MOTOR .
  3. Remove the drain plug and drain the engine oil.

  4. Remove the bolt and the inspection cover.

  5. Remove the oil pan-to-transmission mounting bolts.

  6. Remove the bolts and the oil pan.
