Section 134 (Axle Shafts): Lubrication

CAUTION: The right side axle shaft and the left side axle shaft use different types of grease.

Front hub bearings are a cartridge design and require no scheduled maintenance. Right side CV joint assemblies, use Ford High Temp Constant Velocity Joint Grease (E43Z-19590-A). Left side CV joint assemblies, use GKN Thermax Grease (M-3020).
