Test C: Single Mirror Inoperative With Switch Logic
- Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect mirror control switch harness connector C218. Test mirror control switch. See MIRROR CONTROL SWITCH under COMPONENT TESTS. If switch is okay and driver's mirror is inoperative, go to next step. If switch is okay and passenger's mirror is inoperative, go to 3 . If switch is defective, replace mirror control switch.
- Remove driver's door trim panel. Disconnect driver's mirror harness connector. Measure resistance of Brown wire between mirror control switch harness connector C218 and driver's mirror harness connector. Measure resistance of Brown/Yellow wire between mirror control switch harness connector C218 and driver's mirror harness connector. If all resistance readings are less than 5 ohms, replace driver's mirror assembly. See SIDE MIRROR ASSEMBLY under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If any resistance reading is 5 ohms or greater, repair open or high resistance in appropriate wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Remove passenger's door trim panel. Disconnect passenger's mirror harness connector. Measure resistance of Black wire between mirror control switch harness connector C218 and passenger's mirror harness connector. Measure resistance of Brown wire between mirror control switch harness connector C218 and passenger's mirror harness connector. If all resistance readings are less than 5 ohms, replace passenger's mirror assembly. See SIDE MIRROR ASSEMBLY under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If any resistance reading is 5 ohms or greater, repair open or high resistance in appropriate wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
