Description & Operation

The 6-way power seats provide horizontal, vertical and tilt adjustments with optional power lumbar adjustment. Seat function switches are mounted on side of seat trim panel. All models have a 30-amp fuse in the central junction box. Driver and passenger side air bags are attached to seat backrest frame. Front seat backrest trim covers installed with side air bags cannot be repaired. A new seat backrest trim cover must be installed. Cleaning is okay. The driver and passenger outboard seat belt buckle and pretensioner are secured to front seat assembly on seat track. This allows front seat belt buckle end to move with front seat. The seat belt and buckle assembly pretensioner is a pyrotechnic device that removes excess webbing from seat belt system. The seat belt and buckle assembly pretensioner uses the same crash sensor system as air bag restraint system.
