Test C: DEACTIVATOR Switch Circuit (Flash Code 3)

NOTE: After completing any repairs, perform self-diagnostics. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM  .
  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect speed control servo connector C122. Measure voltage between speed control servo connector C122 terminals No. 9 (Tan/Orange wire) and No. 10 (Black wire). If voltage is greater than 10 volts, replace speed control servo. Retest system operation. If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect deactivator switch connector C277. Measure voltage between deactivator switch connector C277 terminal No. 2 (Light Green/Red wire) and ground. If voltage is greater than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in Light Green/Red wire. Retest system operation.
  3. Ensure ignition is off. Measure resistance between speed control servo connector C122 terminal No. 9 (Tan/Orange wire) and deactivator switch connector C277 terminal No. 1 (Tan/Orange wire). If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace deactivator switch. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Tan/Orange wire. Retest system operation.
