Description & Operation

Power windows are controlled by the Generic Electronic Module (GEM). The GEM offers diagnostics to help locate and repair concerns affecting the subsystems it controls.

Reversible type motors are mounted with each window regulator. A master switch is located on the driver's door from which both front windows may be controlled. Passenger's window can also be controlled by an individual switch located on passenger's door.

One-touch down feature on the power window master switch allows the driver to lower the driver door window fully by momentarily actuating the driver's window down switch. Holding the switch down longer allows the driver to stop the window as soon as the switch is released. The one-touch down feature can only be actuated at the master switch.
