Spindle Assembly: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedures. Tighten ball joint stud nut, and install NEW cotter pin. DO NOT back off nut to install cotter pin; tighten to align cotter pin holes. Tighten shock-to-spindle attaching nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Lower and remove jack. Install remaining components in reverse order of removal. Check front end alignment and adjust as necessary. See appropriate SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.
