Pilot Bearing: Installation

  1. Ensure crankshaft pilot bearing bore is clean and free from nicks or burrs. Lightly coat pilot bearing bore of crankshaft with Lubricant XG-1-C (ESA-M1C75-B).
  2. CAUTION: When installing transmission, ensure input shaft does not damage bearing.
  3. Install pilot bearing using Pilot Bearing Installer (T81P-7120-B). Carefully tap pilot bearing into bore until flush with flywheel. Ensure needle bearings are not damaged or repositioned in collar.
