Coil Spring: Installation

Position spring insulator onto top of spring. Position spring into lower control arm spring pocket. Ensure spring end is positioned between 2 holes in lower arm spring pocket. See Fig 1.
Position spring into upper spring seat in crossmember. Install NEW control arm pivot bolts and nuts finger tight. DO NOT tighten bolts and nuts at this time. Remove spring compressor.
Using a jack, raise control arm until shock absorber is compressed to previously established alignment mark (normal riding height). Tighten control arm pivot bolts and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Remove jack. Install tie rod end into spindle. Install NEW cotter pin. Install brake caliper and wheel. Lower vehicle.
