Wiper/Washer Switch

WARNING: Vehicle is equipped with an air bag system. System MUST be disabled before working near steering column and instrument cluster to prevent air bag deployment. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article.
NOTE: Wiper and washer switches are part of multifunction switch assembly.

Disconnect wiper/washer switch harness connector. Measure resistance between specified terminals with switch in appropriate position. See WIPER/WASHER SWITCH RESISTANCE TEST  table. See Fig 1. Replace switch if readings are not as specified.

ON 590 & 993 Zero
(1) Values are approximate.
(2) Rotate (INT) knob from minimum to maximum. Resistance should gradually increase from 3.3 k/ohms (MIN) to 103.3 k/ohms (MAX).
