Micro-ISO Relays

  1. Remove relay to be tested. Wiper on/off intermittent relay is located in battery junction box. Washer pump relay is located in relay box. Measure resistance between relay terminal No. 2 and all other terminals. See Fig 1. If any resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace relay. If all resistances are more than 5 ohms, go to next step.
  2. Attach jumper wire between battery positive and relay terminal No. 3. Measure voltage between relay terminal No. 4 and ground. If battery voltage does not exist, replace relay. If battery voltage exists, go to next step.
  3. Attach second jumper wire from battery positive to relay terminal No. 1. Attach third jumper wire between relay terminal No. 2 and ground. Measure voltage between relay terminal No. 5 and ground. If battery voltage does not exist, replace relay. If battery voltage exists, relay is okay.
