Theft Indicator

NOTE: THEFT indicator may also be referred to as anti-theft indicator.

THEFT indicator is used to check Passive Anti-Theft system (PATS) prove out (illuminates for 3 seconds, then goes out) operation status. When system is functioning properly and ignition switch is turned to RUN or START position, THEFT indicator will turn on for 3 seconds and then turn off. Vehicle will be enabled to start and run. If THEFT indicator is on continuously for more than 3 seconds or flashes rapidly, a problem exists in PATS. THEFT indicator flashes every 2 seconds with ignition off as a visual theft deterrent.
