Oil Pan: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & HOISTING .
  2. Drain the engine oil.
  3. Remove the engine oil level indicator assembly.
    1. Remove the engine oil level indicator.
    2. Remove the bolts.
    3. Remove the engine oil level indicator tube.

  4. Remove the wiring harness.
    1. Remove the two nuts from the studs.
    2. Remove the wiring harness from the studs and position aside.

  5. Remove the bolts and the studs.

  6. Remove the bolts.

  7. Remove the oil pan-to-bellhousing bolts.

  8. Remove the bolts and oil pan.
