Test C: Unable To Enter LCM Self-Test

  1. Turn ignition off. Connect scan tool following manufacturers instructions. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Monitor LCM PID IGN_LC while turning ignition switch from ACCY to OFF to RUN positions. If LCM PID display indicates RUN while ignition switch is in RUN position, replace LCM. If LCM PID display indicates START while ignition switch is in RUN position go to next step. If LCM PID display indicates ACCY while in RUN position, go to step  4 .
  2. Measure voltage between ground and input cavity of Central Junction Box (CJB) fuse No. 6 (15-amp). If more than 10 volts exists, go to next step. If 10 volts or less exists, repair open in Black/Light Green wire (power feed circuit) between Battery Junction Box (BJB) and CJB. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect LCM 16-pin connector C2027. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between ground and LCM connector C2027 terminal No. 1 (White/Violet wire). See Figure . If more than 10 volts exists, replace LCM. If 10 volts or less exists, repair open in White/Violet wire between LCM and CJB. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  4. Measure voltage between ground and input cavity (power feed) of CJB fuse No. 13 (15-amp). If more that 10 volts exists, go to next step. If 10 volts or less exists, repair open in Brown/Pink wire (power feed circuit) between BJB and CJB. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  5. Turn ignition off. Disconnect LCM 16-pin connector C2027. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between ground and LCM connector C2027 terminal No. 9 (Red/Yellow wire). See Figure . If more than 10 volts exists, replace LCM. If 10 volts or less exists, repair open in Red/Yellow wire between LCM and CJB. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
