Door Lock Control Switches
NOTE:
Testing is for lock portion of master window/door lock and passenger door lock control switches. See POWER WINDOWS - CROWN VICTORIA & GRAND MARQUIS for testing power window side of switch.
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove switch. See DOOR LOCK SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. With switch in neutral position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 4 and 7, and No. 3 and 5. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 .
- With switch in LOCK position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 3 and 5 and terminals No. 6 and 7. With switch in UNLOCK position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 3 and 6 and terminals No. 4 and 7. Replace switch if continuity is not as specified.
