Removal And Installation: Flywheel: Installation

Inspect the flywheel for cracks, hot spots and scoring. If damage is found to the flywheel friction surface, machine flywheel friction surface. If damage found to the ring gear teeth, replace ring gear. For additional information, refer to RING GEAR .

NOTE: Apply threadlock and sealer to the flywheel bolt threads before installation.

Position the flywheel onto the crankshaft and install the flywheel bolts.
Tighten the bolts in sequence to specification.

Install the disc and pressure plate. For additional information, refer to DISC AND PRESSURE PLATE .
