Traction Control Inoperative (1999 Models)

- Perform ABS self-test. If no DTCs are retrieved, go to next step. If any DTCs are retrieved, seeDIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) IDENTIFICATION table.
- Test drive vehicle and test ABS operation. If system operates normally, go to next step. If system does not operate normally, go to SYMPTOM TESTS .
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect ABS control module connector. Measure resistance of Black/White wire between ABS control module connector and ground, while pressing and releasing traction control switch. If resistance is less than 5 ohms with switch depressed, and more than 10,000 ohms with switch released, replace Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU). If resistance is not as specified, go to TRACTION CONTROL CANNOT BE DISABLED.
