Wiper Relay
- Remove wiper relay. Measure resistance between terminal No. 1 and all other terminals on relay. See Fig 1
. All resistance readings should be more than 5 ohms. If resistance is as specified, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace wiper relay.
- Using 2 fused jumper wires, apply battery voltage to terminals No. 2 and 3 of relay. Measure voltage at terminal No. 4 of relay. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, replace wiper relay.
- Using another jumper wire, ground terminal No. 1 at relay. Measure voltage at terminal No. 5 at relay. If battery voltage exists, relay is okay at this time. If battery voltage does not exist, replace wiper relay.
