Symptom Checks

Perform the following:

• If ABS light is on, service ABS system as necessary.
• If BRAKE warning light is on, go to TEST FF in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - DIESEL article.
• Check PBA, BPA, CPP, BOO, SCCS M and VSS Parameter Identification (PID). See ADDITIONAL SYSTEM FUNCTIONS in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - DIESEL article. If any PID value is incorrect, perform appropriate test.
• Perform LOSS OF POWER/POOR FUEL ECONOMY  symptom check.
