Wiper Relay

  1. Remove relay. Measure resistance between terminal No. 1 and all other terminals on relay. Resistance should be greater than 5 ohms. If resistance is as specified, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace relay.
  2. Connect battery voltage to terminals No. 2 and 3. Measure voltage between terminal No. 4 and ground. If battery voltage does not exist, replace relay. If battery voltage exists, go to next step.
  3. Connect an additional jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 1. Measure voltage between terminal No. 5 and ground. If battery voltage does not exist, replace relay.
