Speed Control Does Not Disengage When Brake Pedal Is Applied
- Turn ignition on. Disconnect speed control servo connector. Measure voltage between terminals No. 9 (Light Blue/Red wire) and No. 10 (Black wire) of speed control servo connector. DO NOT apply brakes. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, go to SPEED CONTROL INOPERATIVE test.
- Turn ignition on. With brakes applied, measure voltage between terminals No. 9 (Light Blue/Red wire) and No. 10 (Black wire) of speed control servo connector. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, replace speed control deactivator switch.
- With brakes applied, measure voltage between terminals No. 4 (Red/Light Green wire) and No. 10 (Black wire) of speed control servo connector. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, repair stoplight switch, fuse, Red/Light Green wire or Light Green/Red wire.
- Remove speed control servo cable from speed control servo. Check for broken or binding cable by pulling on cable ball slug to ensure throttle moves freely. If speed control servo cable is okay, replace speed control servo. If speed control servo cable is not okay, replace speed control servo cable.
