Driver-Side Air Bag Module: Removal

  1. Before proceeding, see SERVICE PRECAUTIONS  . Disable SRS. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  .
  2. Remove nuts/bolts and washers retaining air bag module to steering wheel. See Figure . Disconnect air bag module wiring connector from clockspring connector. Disconnect speed control connector, if necessary. Remove air bag module.
