Checking Fluid Level
Ensure vehicle is level. Check lubricant level at filler plug hole on side of transmission. Lubricant should be within 1/4" of filler hole bottom. Add lubricant as necessary to correct fluid level.
CAUTION:
On models with T5OD transmission, do not mistake reverse-shift lever pivot bolt for drain and fill plug. Reverse shift lever return spring may fall into case, causing 2nd gear rattle noise. Drain and fill plugs are on right side of case. Reverse shift-lever pivot bolt is on left side of case.
