WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1997 Ford Probe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Turn ignition on. Operate rear wiper. Turn wiper switch off when wiper is out of position. Measure resistance between Black/Blue wire terminal of rear wiper motor and rear wiper motor ground terminal. See Fig 1 . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, replace rear wiper motor.
- Turn ignition off. Reconnect rear wiper motor harness connector. Turn ignition on. Turn ignition off when rear wiper reaches park position. Disconnect rear wiper motor harness connector. Measure resistance between Black/Blue wire terminal of rear wiper motor and rear wiper motor ground terminal. See Fig 1 . If resistance is less than 10 k/ohms, replace rear wiper motor. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or greater, repair rear wiper motor ground and/or rear wiper motor ground terminal. Retest system.
