Right Power Window Inoperative

  1. Remove and disconnect right power window switch. See WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Turn ignition to on. Measure voltage between ground and Red/Light Blue wire at right window switch connector. If voltage is 10 volts or greater, turn ignition off and go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in Red/Light Blue wire. See WIRING DIAGRAM  . Restore system to original configuration and retest.
  2. Remove and disconnect master switch. See WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and Red/Light Blue wire at master switch connector. If voltage is 10 volts or greater, turn ignition off and go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in Red/Light Blue wire. See WIRING DIAGRAM  . Restore system to original configuration and retest.
  3. Measure resistance between ground and Black wires at master switch connector. If all resistance measurements are less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If any resistance measurements are greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire(s). Restore system to original configuration and retest.
  4. Reconnect master switch connector and turn ignition on. Measure voltage at right window switch connector Tan/Light Blue wire with right window switch (on master switch) held in UP position. Measure voltage at right window switch connector White/Yellow wire with right window switch (on master switch) held in DOWN position. If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is greater than 10 volts, go to step 6).
  5. Check for open or short to ground in Tan/Light Blue or White/Yellow wire between master switch and right power window switch. If wires are okay, replace master switch. Restore system to original configuration and retest.
  6. Turn ignition off. Reconnect right window switch. Disconnect right power window motor connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage at motor harness connector Red/Yellow wire with right window switch in UP position. Measure voltage at motor harness connector Yellow/Red wire with right window switch in DOWN position. If voltage is less than 10 volts at both circuits, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or greater at both circuits, replace right power windor motor.
  7. Check for open or short to ground in Red/Yellow or Yellow/Red wire between right window switch and right power window motor. If wires are okay, replace right power window motor. Restore system to original configuration and retest.
