Transmitter Programming ("F" Series Pickup)

  1. Turn ignition on. Insert shorting plug into program connector. If doors lock and unlock, go to next step. If doors do not lock and unlock, transmitter is not entering program mode. Go to SHORTING PLUG/TRANSMITTER PROGRAM MODE ("F" SERIES PICKUP) test.
  2. Press any button on transmitter. Repeat procedure for each transmitter. If, when using each transmitter, all doors lock then unlock, go to next step. If door locks do not respond after pressing button 3 times, go to POOR ANTENNA RANGE ("F" SERIES PICKUP) test. If test has already been performed, replace transmitter batteries and return to step 1). If door locks still do not respond, replace door lock control module.
  3. Turn ignition off. Remove shorting plug from program connector. If doors lock and unlock, door lock control module programming is okay. If doors do not lock and unlock, replace door lock control module.
