Temperature Sending Unit Test

Ensure engine coolant temperature is 120-122°F (49-50°C). Check resistance between sending unit terminal and engine block (ground). Sending unit is located at top left side of engine. Resistance should be 189.4-259.6 ohms. Warm engine until coolant temperature is 237-239°F (114-115°C). Resistance should be 24.2-28.1 ohms. If resistance is not as specified, replace sending unit.
