Pinpoint Test C - Keypad Does Not Illuminate

  1. Press keypad buttons 7/8 and 9/0. If doors lock, go to next step. If doors do not lock, perform self-test as described in MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article.
  2. Disconnect Remote Anti-theft Personality (RAP) module C2 connector. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground and pin No. 15 (Light Blue wire). If resistance is more than 10,000 ohms, go to step 4). If resistance is 10,000 ohms or less, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect keypad connector. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground and Light Blue wire. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace RAP module. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, repair Light Blue wire circuit short to ground and retest system.
  4. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance of Light Blue wire between RAP module and keypad connectors. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Light Blue wire circuit and retest system. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step.
  5. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance of Black wire between ground and keypad connector. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire circuit and retest system. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace keypad.
