ISSUE
Incorrect information is displayed during diagnostic monitoring test results (Mode 6) using the New Generation Star (NGS) Tester. The measured data (MEAS) is displayed correctly. The minimum (MIN) and maximum (MAX) values are displayed reversed (e.g., minimum is actually maximum and maximum is actually minimum) with values that are correct. The status display (Pass/Fail) will show Fail due to the reversal of the Min/Max values. This is due to an error in NGS software.
ACTION
Follow the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Manual for the proper limit of the measured value as detailed in the pinpoint test. The incorrect information will be corrected in NGS software version 10.0, scheduled for release in the Fall of 1996.
