Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. ABS control module and Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) are a complete assembly. See Figure . To remove ABS control module, remove HCU assembly from vehicle. See HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU)  . Set HCU assembly on clean bench.
  2. Remove one TORX screw from cover and remove cover. Remove 15-pin and 4-pin connectors from control module. Remove 6 control module-to-HCU TORX screws. Pull control module straight up over ground post.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
