Warning Indicators Inoperative

  1. Using test light to ground, check output side of fuse No. 15. See Figure . If voltage is present, go to step 3). If voltage is not present, go to next step.
  2. Using test light to ground, check input side of fuse No. 15. If voltage is present, go to step 4). If voltage is not present, repair circuit feed to fuse No. 15 (Red/Light Green wire) and retest system.
  3. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Check resistance between ground and cluster connectors C2, pin No. 1 (Black wire) and connector C1, pin No. 12 (Black wire). See Figure and Figure . If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair circuit No. 57 (Black wire) for open and retest system.
  4. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using a voltmeter, check for battery voltage at cluster connector C1, pins No. 4 (Light Green/Yellow wire), No. 7 (Red/Yellow wire) and No. 16 (Red/Yellow wire), and cluster connector C2, pin No. 4 (Red/Yellow wire). If battery voltage is present, replace instrument cluster printed circuit and retest system. If battery voltage is not present, repair circuits No. 54 (Light Green/Yellow wire) and No. 640 (Red/Yellow wire) for open and retest system.
