Power Door Lock Switch

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove switch. See DOOR LOCK SWITCHES  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. With switch in neutral position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 1 and 4, and between terminals No. 2 and 5. See Fig 1 . Continuity should not exist between terminal No. 3 and any other terminal.
  3. Press and hold switch in lock position. Continuity should exist between terminals No. 3 and 4. Continuity should not exist between terminals No. 1, 2, and 5.
  4. Press and hold switch in unlock position. Continuity should exist between terminals No. 2 and 3. Continuity should not exist between terminals No. 1, 4, and 5. Replace switch if continuity is not as specified.
