  1. Unplug connector from WCM located at fuse block. Measure resistance between Brown/White wire and Orange wire terminals of harness connector. See Figure . If resistance is 10.5-12 k/ohms, go to step 3). If resistance is not 10.5-12 k/ohms, go to next step.
  2. Unplug connector from wiper switch. Measure resistance between Brown/White wire and Orange wire terminals of switch. If resistance is 10.5-12 k/ohms, repair open wire between WCM and wiper switch. If resistance is not 10.5-12 k/ohms, test wiper switch. See WIPER SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST  . Replace wiper switch if necessary.
  3. Rotate interval control to MAX position. Measure resistance between Brown/White wire and Dark Blue/White wire terminals of windshield wiper switch. If resistance is 104 k/ohms or less, replace WCM. If resistance is more than 104 k/ohms, go to next step.
  4. Unplug connector from windshield wiper switch. Rotate interval control to MAX position. Measure resistance between Brown/White wire and Dark Blue/White wire terminals of switch. If resistance is 104 k/ohms or less, repair open wiring between wiper switch and WCM. If resistance is more than 104 k/ohms, test wiper switch. See WIPER SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST  . Replace switch if necessary and retest system.
