Test D: Actuator Circuit Shorted To Battery
NOTE:
This test is associated with DTC 30.
- Check Circuit - Ensure ignition switch is in OFF position. On models without air suspension, disconnect EVO control module 14-pin connector C214. On models with air suspension, disconnect Black EVO control module 13-pin connector C215 and Gray EVO control module 13-pin connector C216. Disconnect EVO actuator harness connector. On models without air suspension, measure voltage between pin No. 13 (Gray/Orange wire) and pin No. 5 (Black wire) of EVO control module connector C214. See Figure. On models with air suspension, measure voltage between pin No. 14 (Gray/Orange wire) of Black EVO control module connector C215 and pin No. 6 (Black wire) of Gray EVO control module connector C216. See Figure. If battery voltage is not present, go to next step. If battery voltage is present, repair short to voltage in Gray/Orange wire. Reconnect all components and repeat actuator output circuit test.
- Leave ignition switch in OFF position. On models without air suspension, measure voltage between pin No. 5 (Black wire) and pin No. 14 (Tan/Yellow wire) of EVO control module connector C214. On models with air suspension, measure voltage between pin No. 6 (Black wire) of Gray EVO control module connector C216 and pin No. 26 (Tan/Yellow wire) of Black EVO control module connector C215. On all models, if battery voltage is present, repair short to battery voltage in Tan/Yellow wire. If battery voltage is not present, replace EVO control module. reconnect all components and repeat actuator output circuit test.
