Cruise Control Systems: Description

Speed control system is electronically controlled. Major components of speed control system include servo, Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS), horn relay, actuator switch, stoplight switch, deactivator switch, and air bag sliding contact (clockspring). This system does not require engine vacuum. An electronic servo actuates the throttle. All electronic control components are contained within the servo, eliminating the need for any other speed control electronic modules. Speed control system is operational only at speeds greater than 30 MPH.
